Overview
This butcher block is made of solid cherry. It is a heavy duty cutting board designed for a very active kitchen while remaining fashionable. The rotation of the grain of the board allows for reduced dulling of knives while minimizing knife marks in the board. The board sizes at 16 x 12 x 2 inches, and it has handles for easy transportation. It is food safe and comes popular with mineral oil and beeswax finish which will hold up over time. *Beeswax allergies are rare but do exist! This board contains beeswax. But can be made custom order without the wax for no extra cost*.
Care
To maintain the cutting board, wipe off with a wet towel, but do not soak the board in water.
The color of the wood may change slightly over time as it oxidizes, but the finish oil will not go rancid.
The board may not match the product picture exactly because of variances in the wood. No two trees are alike!
