Antique Novelty RUBBERS holder handmade popular Embroidered

Handmade embroidered "rubbers" holder with snap popular closures. We believe this is from the early 1900s. Measures 12 inches long, and approximately 12 inches in circumference. Of course "rubbers" has a different meaning now than it did then so this now a kind of novelty bag. It's structurally still pretty strong, but I wouldn't carry heavy items in this due to its age. Some fading overall. A wonderful, rare conversation piece!
