On offer is this lovely collectible shop display / counter top box of raincoats. The box is in good condition overall - notable tape residue over the top area as well as darkened marks, stains and general aged ware; there are also a number of splits to a few of the edges and corners commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the lot.

It's of traditional form, the thin card box has been beautifully decorated with a design popular on the top advertising its content of "Men's Polythene Raincoat that fits your pocket" - the incentives / usp read "light weight, improved snap button, for unexpected shower, and one size fits all". The top also features perforations which would make the central circular area fold up.

Inside are all twelve original unused raincoats still in their individual pouch with slip which reads "Men's full length protective coat" - ** Please note all of these paper inserts show extensive aged ware possibly caused by damp storage over the years? (please refer to images).

All raincoats present have been left untested as they're still in their original packaging.

Produced in Hong Kong with the intention of being sold in an English store, circa third quarter of the 20th century.

To give an idea of size the box itself measures 21cm (8 and 1/4 inches) by 15.2cm (6 inches) by 7cm (2 and 3/4 inches) and each pouch measures a charming 10cm (4 inches) by 7.7cm (3 inches).

A lovely vintage lot ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
