My Inspiration:
I create fused glass relief sculptures inspired by nature and my love of sea creatures. My designs are inspired from my scuba diving adventures in the Caribbean Ocean and walks along the beach. This sculpture is based off of sea turtle photos from my dive adventures is one-of- a-kind.
Fused Glass Carving Process:
The sea turtle is created using a carving technique for fused glass. I start with sketching my design and then cutting out a reverse pattern in ceramic fiber paper. popular The cut glass is layed on top of the fiber paper so that it will melt into my design creating a low relief image of the turtle. This process happens in a kiln and takes several firings to achieve the different textures.
Care Instructions:
Gently hand rise occasionally to remove Dust. Allow to air dry.
