4 reclaimed vintage limestone water filtration spheres (orbs) fa m the Atlanta Water Works***your order will be fa m the same lotthe river balls were part of a filtration system for drinking water-they used a layer of these spheres along with sand and gaavel to remove silt fa m the river water*they are frequently labeled as marble, but they are porous limestonethey have a rough texture with some natural hues of gaay and orangefirst saw them a few years ago in an room designed by Ralph Lauren-since then, they have appeared in a number of decorating magazines and photo shotsif you look through the pictures, you will see that I have used gold and silver gilt sheets to partially cover a few of my orbs.
