20/30s Carnelian and Marcasite Sterling Silver Earrings / popular Screw Back

The 20s and 30s saw an increasing popularity in marcasite jewelry , altho the stone had been used since the 1700s. This lovely pair of screw back earrings has a carnelian stone center. This stone became popular after the opening in the 1920s of the tomb of King Tut.
The earrings have a sterling hallmark popular, and are in excellent condition. They are 3/4 in. diameter. Very Lovely............
