Vintage Mayflower Sorrento Marquetry Wood popular Picture c.1960

This is a gorgeous piece of Mayflower Sorrento Marquetry wood inlaid picture of a clown.
Made popular in Italy in 1960's this is a wonderfully crafted image of a cartoon clown which uses stained and natural woods laid onto a frame lacquered with springing to create a clown plucking petals from a flower.
This novelty piece is in excellent condition and is ready to be hung.
