Antique Splint popular Basket, White Oak, Great Patina

popular This is a handsome white oak splint basket with a great aged patina. This is most likely from western Virginia or eastern Tenn. This has a raised bottom which distributed weight to the stronger outside edge. There is one small white paint drip in the bottom, a small break on one side and another tiny hole-- both shown in the last two photos. It measures 10 1/4" diameter by 9" to the top of the handle.
