A bit more Information. Ponte Rotto was the oldest bridge in Rome. It links Forum Boarium with Trastevere. Was originally called Pons Aemiliums built in the 2nd century BC. Half the bridge was washed away in 1598 and was renamed Ponte Rotto which means Broken Bridge. One of these rare plates is on permanent display in Marc-James museum in Washington state.
