Which is better… The fact that they are a statuesque, beautiful deer family or that they proudly advertise they are a kitschy souvenir from Fremont, Wisconsin? I love both.
I had to Google Fremont… I sort of assumed that there was the nature preserve or park there. I couldn't find much except that Fremont is called the white bass capital of the world. So of course you have a deer family souvenir right commemorate that.
This set is larger than most deer family sets from this era; they are well executed and eye catching. The stag is 4 1/2 inches and the resting doe is 2 1/2 inches tall.
The doe and fawn each have a very tiny paint chip on an ear; the stag has several chips on the tips of his antlers. All look like it is paint and does not go into the bisque.
All have a Japan sticker— or at least, most of one. popular
