Product code: RARE Royal Doulton “Moorish Gateway” D4601 covered sugar bowl popular circa 1920-30s

This very rare covered sugar bowl was made by Royal Doulton in the 1920s and it is part of the very scarce Moorish Gateway series. This scene is numbered D4601 and depicts a middle eastern woman sitting in front of the gateway with a temple in the background. The pieces from this set were all hand painted and signed. This covered sugar bowl measures almost 4” tall and 6” wide and is in pristine condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs or damages to the piece at all. There is a tiny bit of crazing in the gateway area of the piece but you have to zoom right in to see it. The colours are as vibrant as they were on day one and it appears that this piece was never used. This piece is very rare and highly collectible.
