Learn more about Baltic Amber -

Formed over 45 million years ago, Baltic Amber is an organic substance, a "Fossil Resin" produced by pine trees which grew in Northern Europe - from southern regions of the present day Scandinavia and nearby regions of the bed of the Baltic Sea. The climate became warmer and trees started to exude big amounts of Resin. Scientists say that Amber is a fossil pine resin from this region that has achieved a stable state through oxidation.

Baltic Amber has been used since ancient times, making Amber Jewelry and ornaments, as an ingredient in perfumes and has long been used in Folk Medicine for its healing properties.

If you've been noticing the huge upward trend in owning a piece of precious Amber Jewelry you probably already know the value of Baltic Amber. Talk about "treasures"! Over 45 million years old and containing tiny Inclusions of Insects and plant life from that period in time is nothing short of the most valuable collection in the world from a scientific standpoint.

ABOUT THE UNCLE MOUNIR SHOP

Every summer when I visit my Uncle Mounir, he shows me his beautiful prayer beads. He has hundreds on display, all around his home. Over the years, during my visits, I would stare at them and ask him to tell me more stories. He is so passionate when talking about them, how he found them, what they're made from, and how they were made.

In the past year, I inherited a large amount of them from him, and even though I have some on display in my home, there are too many of them and instead of keeping them in my drawer, I decided popular to sell some on here, and share a piece of my uncles passion, with all of you!

I vigorously researched and tested all of these prayer beads, and am confident that I have properly quoted, and correctly represented their value, but if you see something and or have any questions about any of them, please do not hesitate to ask!! I'd love to hear from you! :)
