Popular Swan Leverless Fountain Pen,Twist-Fill Late 1930's

Here ,for your perusal is a lovely large Vintage "Swan" Lever less Fountain Pen in Black Celluloid with gold plated trim.

Manufactured by the great MABIE TODD & Co. England......in the 1930's.

It is in overall, very nice condition throughout and made to a very high standard of quality.

The Cap is in really ln nice condition and has the "Swan" trade mark insert in the Cap stud and also the imprinted "SWAN" logo on the side..

The gold ball style Pocket clip has the Swan emblem etched at the top as expected ..

A couple of minus points are

The wide gold cap ring is showing a little wear and the Cap tightens up poorly but holds ok !!!

The beautiful, 14Ct Gold, authentic swan "ETERNAL" Nib is "Medium/fine" tipped..It is marked

It has long tines and an excellent iridium tip ... it writes smoothly and well...with very good ink flow is nice and responsive to write with.

The comb Feed has the imprint "SWAN "and the Section also has the imprint "SWAN"...in good condition...


The Barrel is in very good condition and it has a very clear "crisp" Barrel imprint which reads

The pen has been fully- serviced, re-sac'd and is in excellent working condition.

This a very collectable and usable pen which will not disappoint with its writing qualities...

The pen has been test filled and then flushed clean.and finally, given a light polish.
