-- THE RING --

This listing is for a Bentwood ring made from Figured Bubinga Wood, with an offset Copper Wire Inlay. It will be handcrafted for you with great care, in the size and width you prefer.


-- THE MATERIALS --

Bubinga originates from Equaitorial Africa. It is often mistaken for Rosewood due to it's complex, colourful and distinct grain patterns, it is even refered to by some as African Rosewood.

Heartwood ranges from a pinkish red to a darker reddish brown with darker purple or black streaks. Bubinga is frequently seen with a variety of different grain figures, this bubinga I am using is best described as waterfall figuring.

Real Copper Wire is used for the inlay, as with all bentwood rings wire inlays will have a join, this join will be visible in one place on the ring, but I will hide this as much as possible.

More eco friendly than many other rings that are available. All my woods come from sustainable sources or are reclaimed offcuts from larger projects that would otherwise have gone to waste. Made almost exclusively with hand tools reducing the environmental impact of large machinery.

Unique, why have a metal one like everyone else when you can have a unique ring that has great meaning and sentiment to you. I accept custom ring requests and the possibilities are endless. You might choose a wood that is native to your birthplace, customise your ring with an inlay of stone, shell or sand that you have found. Include an offcut of clothing, a letter or another sentimental item as an inlay.
