Custom made commission portrait of your pet. This personalized piece will make a cherished piece of your or your loved one's pet. Excellent gift for birthdays, Valentine's, Christmas and other occasions.

I would be honoured to make a portrait of your cat, dog, bird or any other animal. These pet portraits are drawings hand-drawn in colored pencil. And make a lovely keepsake or memorial to your beloved fourlegged (or feathered) friend.

2. Please send me a clear, well lit, high quality picture of your (or the person you're ordering for) pet to lydia.ifwhalescouldfly [!at] gmail.com

If you're unsure whether the picture is suitable please feel free to contact me before you order. I understand that in some cases it might not be possible to have additional pictures of the pet and I can try to make the most of it, if possible.

However, do keep in mind that I draw what I see on the picture. The angle of the subject will be the same, and parts not included in the picture I can not add (i.e. please do not have just halve of the dog's head on it, unfortunately I cannot make what I cannot see and I would love for the portrait to be as accurate as possible)

3. I will send you a picture of the outline / sketch for your approval. Once you've approved I'll continue onto making it into color. It'll take about 3 to 4 weeks as they are completely hand drawn.

4. I will send you a photo of the final piece (with a watermark on it) and ship the product to you as soon as I got your reply. Shipping is included in the price and you will get a tracking number.

Please note that portraits usually consist of head, to shoulders at most. If you would like more of the body (or the entire body) please let me know.
The portraits are not framed.


Turnaround time:

Usual turn around is 3 to 4 weeks, but it depends on how busy I already am. In piek periods it might be slightly longer, especially when there's more than one animal in the portrait. However, when it's less busy it will be faster than the set times. If you do have a strict deadline however, feel free to contact me about it and we'll see what I can do. I do not have an influence on potential shipping delays unfortunately.


Materials:

Various high grade artist pencils (I mainly use either Faber-Castell and / or Prismacolor Premier Pencils, popular plus some additional once for certain aspects). 300gsm Strathmore Bristol Mixed Media paper.

There will be a finish over the drawing, but please always handle with care.


Shipping:

Shipping will done with tracking number. It will be packed with an extra paper to protect and supplied flat with hard board to prevent damage.

As this is a custom made piece for you I unfortunately cannot accept returns.
