Vintage Signed Hollycraft Pink popular Rhinestone Necklace Copr 1953 Floral and Foliate Motif

This elegant early 1950's rhinestone necklace was made by high end costume jewelry company Hollycraft, known for its use of pastel rhinestones in various shapes and sizes. The necklace has an unusual dimensional floral and foliate design made up of pink rhinestones set in gold tone metal with an antiqued finish. The central element of the necklace includes two flowers, one of which has convex construction and one of which has concave construction. There is a long curvilinear twisted vine-like stem between the flowers studded with multiple pink rhinestone "leaves". The central decorative element of the necklace has two fixed loops, each of which is attached to mirror image ornamental accents which also have rope-like stems flanked by pink rhinestones. The chain itself is made up of multiple links arranged in a twisting rope. The hinged foldover clasp is flanked by two chaton cut pink rhinestones.

The necklace is in very good original condition with no missing or replacement stones. The foldover clasp is fully functional and closes securely. As a vintage item the piece shows signs of age consisting of some minor darkening to the metal which is mentioned for accuracy. The necklace measures just under 18" in length. The central decorative element is 1.5" by 1.25" at its widest points while the smaller decorative elements are 1" by .5". The back of the central component bear a plaque which reads "COPR. 1953" along with "HOLLYCRAFT".

This lovely Hollycraft necklace has a lot of sparkle and displays beautifully. It would make a wonderful gift for someone special or may be just what you have been looking for to round out your own collection of Hollycraft or other vintage designer jewelry. Very pretty!
