The flap is a light brown, soft nubuck leather with an anorak snap to firmly secure it over the top of the purse.
An outside back zipper spans the width of the bag, holding just about any size smartphone, a passport, ear pods, and cash.
It measures 10.5” across at its widest point X 6.5” high, with a 2” depth across the base. It comfortably handles keys, small wallet or coin purse, mask, lipstick, mini hand sanitizer, etc.
