A very fine original 19th century etching of boats lying alongside on the Thames at Chelsea, London.

The original popular wooden bridge shown here, built by Henry Holland in 1771 was replaced by the new Battersea Bridge just 10 years after this etching was drawn.

An attractive nautical, marine scene of old London which would frame up nicely for display.

Fine, clean condition, free of repairs or restoration, printed on robust heavy grade paper, blank verso.

Approx. 11" x 7" (275mm x 175mm) printed area only with good margins beyond.
